Als Software Engineer spielst du eine zentrale Rolle beim Aufbau der Basis unserer Next-Gen-Retrofit-Plattform – einer End-to-End-Lösung, die alles von der Projektaufnahme über Kostenmodellierung und Angebotserstellung bis hin zu Bau-Workflows unterstützt.
Dein Schwerpunkt liegt auf Backend-Entwicklung in TypeScript, zugleich arbeitest du über den gesamten Stack hinweg und leistest Beiträge zu Systemdesign, Dokumentation und Tech-Strategie. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit Product und Operations stellst du sicher, dass wir die richtigen Tools auf die richtige Weise bauen – mit Blick auf Skalierbarkeit, Flexibilität und Klarheit.

Über die Rolle

Wir suchen eine:n Backend Software Engineer, der/die die Grundlage unserer Next-Gen-Retrofit-Plattform mitentwickelt – eine End-to-End-Lösung für Projektaufnahme, Kostenmodellierung, Angebotserstellung und Bau-Workflows. Du arbeitest primär mit TypeScript (Node.js, NestJS) und spielst eine Schlüsselrolle beim Design skalierbarer Backendsysteme und APIs.

Aufgaben
• Entwicklung von Backend-Services mit Node.js und NestJS
• Entwurf und Dokumentation von Systemarchitektur und API-Verträgen
• Implementierung von Microservices und Event-Driven-Patterns
• Aufbau und Pflege von CI/CD-Pipelines (AWS)
• Sicherstellung der Codequalität durch Tests und Reviews
• Zusammenarbeit mit cross-funktionalen Teams beim Bau von Backend-Tools
• Verwaltung von SQL-/NoSQL-Datenbanken (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Entwicklung und Pflege von AI-Chat-Funktionalitäten

Dein Profil

Qualifikationen

• 4–6+ Jahre Erfahrung in der Backend-Entwicklung
• Fundierte Kenntnisse in TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS
• Erfahrung mit RESTful APIs und ereignisgesteckter Architektur
• Tiefes Verständnis von Microservice-Architekturen
• Vertrautheit mit CI/CD und Cloud-Deployments (AWS)
• Solides Verständnis von SQL- und NoSQL-Datenbanken
• Vertrautheit mit LLM-APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic etc.) und Prompt Engineering
• Ausgezeichnete Kommunikations- und Dokumentationsfähigkeiten

• Fließendes Englisch (Deutsch von Vorteil)

Your mission

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in building the foundation of our next-gen retrofit platform - an end-to-end solution supporting everything from project intake to cost modeling, quoting, and construction workflows.

Your primary focus will be on backend development in TypeScript, but you’ll work across the stack and contribute to system design, documentation, and tech strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with product and operations to ensure we build the right tools the right way, with scale, flexibility, and clarity in mind.

About the Role

We're looking for a Backend Software Engineer to help build the foundation of our next-gen retrofit platform—an end-to-end solution supporting project intake, cost modeling, quoting, and construction workflows. You’ll work primarily in TypeScript (Node.js, NestJS) and play a key role in designing scalable backend systems and APIs.

Responsibilities

Develop backend services using Node.js and NestJS
Design and document system architecture and API contracts
Implement microservices and event-driven patterns
Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (AWS)
Ensure code quality through testing and reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build backend tools
Manage SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
AI Chat development and maintenance

Your profile

Qualifications

4–6+ years of backend development experience
Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS
Experience with RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture
Strong understanding of microservice architecture
Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud deployment (AWS)
Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and prompt engineering
Excellent communication and documentation skills

Bonus Points

Interest in sustainability, PropTech, or climate tech
Fluency in English (German is a plus)
